The 'Pompey Problem', with a perfect 19-0 record, will get his title shot on the undercard of Dillian White v Alexander Povetkin II at Wembley Arena on Saturday, March 6.

Southpaw McKinson, 26, has been one of the most avoided fighters domestically in recent years but Kongo has agreed to put his undefeated 12-0 record on the line against him.

A WBO European and WBC international silver welterweight title holder himself, the Pompey-based fighter has been waiting for his big chance either in Britain or overseas.

Now McKinson, sixth in the WBO world rankings, has the opportunity to show just why he believes he's the best welterweight the country has to offer live on the Sky Sports cameras.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed the fight on his Twitter account, he posted: ‘Tremendous domestic fight set for the #PovetkinWhyte2 card March 6 - big respect to @2SlickChris and @mikeytheproblem putting it on the line! @skysportsboxing @daznboxing’
