Rowlands Castle pair dominate Future Champions Tour end-of-season awards
Order of Merit recognition for talented youngsters Jack Turnball and Isaac Haunstrup
Rowlands Castle dominated the Future Champions Tour in 2026 as Jack Turnball and Isaac Haunstrup ran away with the Order of Merit in the gross section.
Between them the two youngsters won eight of the 10 tournaments the boys and girls competed in, but Jack was the clear winner topping 100 points for the season, playing in nine events.
Eleven-year-old Turnbull claimed victories at Alton’s revamped 12-hole Mad Swans course, as well as at Hockley, Dibden, Ampfield and on his own course.
Haunstrup claimed the first prize at Barton-on-Sea and Weybrook Park. His reward – along with FCT Nett Order of Merit winner Ava Haines, from Barton-on-Sea GC – was to receive a Hampshire Golf pin flag signed by Hampshire’s own Ryder Cup hero Justin Rose.
Issac, whose older brother is former Pompey defender Brandon, claimed his first hole-in-one at Waterlooville GC, when he was just six years old.

The runner-up had the consolation of claiming victory in the Grand Final, at Ampfield Golf &Country Club, near Romsey, earlier this month, carding 30 stableford points to win by two from Weybrook Park’s Harrison Vickery.
The Rowlands pair were followed by Hampshire under-12s champion Aaron Palmer, from Hayling GC, who was just five points behind Haunstrup, having won the Gosport & Stokes Bay event.
The latter’s Franky Hardy, who won the Hampshire under-10s title in 2025, was fourth overall, and at 10 years old, having also joined Stoneham GC, will be looking to capitalise on Haunstrup’s move into under-14s golf in 2027.
Hayling’s Giovanni Tourinot was runner-up in the Future Champions Tour nett Order of Merit.
The 10-year-old won the nett competition at Rowlands Castle and had top three finishes at Weybrook Park and Barton-on-Sea.
