Two new course records for Fareham distance runner Jack Oates

Jack Oates has continued his superb return to competitive running events.

The 24-year-old, from Fareham, won the Vanguard Way TrailMarathon last month despite getting lost en route.

He has followed that up by winning the Andover Trail Half Marathon and also the Bewl Water Marathon near Tunbridge Wells in Kent - both in record times.

His Andover time of 1 hour 20 minutes was a new record by around nine minutes, while his Bewl time was a new course record of 2:47:25.

Next on his calendar is the Beachy Head Marathon in Sussex, where Jack will run alongside his dad Gary, 52.
