Portsmouth Joggers on top form in Lakeside parkrun 5k


Adam Barlow beat his course personal best with a strong run.
He finished with a time of 16min 51sec.
And his club-mates Pete Collins (17.23), Ben Stait (19.07) and Tony Conway (19.13) made up the first four.

Hide AdPortsmouth Joggers also took the top two female places with Naouele McHugh finishing ninth overall (20.42) and Nicky Thomas 24th overall (22.50).
In total 135 runners finished the parkrun at Lakeside North Harbour.
Southsea parkrun
Oz Ellis joined the list of sub-17 men at Southsea on a good day for the promenade run on Saturday.
He represents Tipton Harriers and finished the 5k with a time of 16.54.

Hide AdUniversity of Portsmouth runner Adam Cowlard got a good new PB (18.52).
Liz Steward, of Denmead Striders, set a new personal best of 20.50.
A total of 304 runners finished the 5k.
The parkrun will be unaffected by the Great South Run weekend and takes place as normal on Saturday at Speakers’ Corner (9am).
Queen Elizabeth parkrun
First-timer Joe Chick led the charge on Saturday to record a time of 19.27.

Hide AdNaomi Ward set a personal best of 22.42 to finish first lady as 83 runners took part.
Lee-on-the-Solent parkrun
In total 307 runners completed the 69th Saturday morning 5k at Lee.
Dominic Roberts set a new personal best time of 18.07 to finish first.
Nikki Moxham was sixth overall and first lady (19.08).
Havant parkrun
Joanne Stanford got a new personal best of 20.40 to finish first lady at Staunton Country Park.
Howard Clark recorded a time of 18.17 to finish first as 250 runners completed event number 228.
