OUR top team of tipsters didn’t cover themselves in glory on day one of Glorious - so you might say the only way is up.

Two of our panel - Channel 4 Racing’s Tanya Stevenson and racecourse MD Adam Waterworth - found one winner each from the seven races.

And if that doesn’t sound over-impressive, it is compared to the other trio, Observer sports editor Steve Bone, Goodwood member Tony Castley and Coral’s Dave Stevens, who each ended day one with a big fat zero.
