The forward struck twice as the visitors came from behind to beat in-form hosts Chalfont St Peter 2-1.

It was Dave Carter’s side’s first win in five games.

He said: ‘Once again we worked hard on a very boggy pitch and Woody showed what a match-winner he is.

‘Our away form hasn’t been the greatest but this will give us a lift.

‘We have been playing well recently but just haven’t got the results. This win is much needed.’

Carter was also pleased to see his team shrug off the loss of striker Ryan Pennery to Gosport Borough.

Pennery has scored 18 goals this season but in denying Chalfont St Peter a sixth straight win, Moneys proved they can cope without him.

Carter added: ‘Ryan got a superb offer and one he had to take. He would have regretted it if he didn’t give it a go.

‘If he does well, who knows where it will take him.’

Moneys suffered an early blow when Remmell Clarke fired the hosts into a sixth-minute lead.

Chalfont went on to miss several excellent opportunities to extend their lead before half-time.

And Wooden made them pay with two goals in six minutes after the break.
