They were founded by Karen Watkins and Nikki Dunning earlier this year.

The ladies, very keen to grow this club, have recently applied for funding to get some more UK CC netball coaching qualifications and comply with the England Netball guide on safeguarding.

At present it is aimed at girls under 12-years-old.

But in future they will no doubt open their doors to all other ages.

Training is 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday nights at Brookfield Community School, Locks Heath.

The club can be contacted at [email protected] and have room for more at the moment.

The girls had a tough game against Gosport Gators Emerald, who have been playing as a team for several seasons now and had the edge on experience.

They gave it a good shot but were dealt a 28-13 loss.
