Stagecoach South announces Portsmouth Christmas and New Year services
Stagecoach South has confirmed its festive bus timetables, with funding used from the city council’s Portsmouth Bus Service Improvement Plan, ensuring passengers can plan ahead for travel during the Christmas and New Year period.
Services will vary throughout the holiday season, with a mix of normal, special, and early-finish schedules to support community travel needs.
Service Summary
- Sunday 21 December – Normal Sunday Service
- Monday 22 December – Sunday Service plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38; Service 21 will run Monday–Thursday timetable
- Tuesday 23 December – Saturday Service plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38; Service 21 will run Monday–Thursday timetable
- Wednesday 24 December (Christmas Eve) – Saturday Service with early finish plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38; Night Bus 22/23 will not run in the evening
- Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day) – Special hourly timetables on Services 18, 20, 21, 22, 23; Night Bus 22/23 will not run in the evening
- Friday 26 December (Boxing Day) – Special half-hourly timetables on Services 18, 20, 21, 22, 23; hourly service on 700, plus 725; Night Bus 22/23 will not run in the evening
- Saturday 27 December – Normal Saturday Service
- Sunday 28 December – Normal Sunday Service
- Monday 29 December – Saturday Service plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38; Service 21 will run Monday–Thursday timetable
- Tuesday 30 December – Saturday Service plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38; Service 21 will run Monday–Thursday timetable
- Wednesday 31 December (New Year’s Eve) – Saturday Service with early finish plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38
- Thursday 1 January (New Year’s Day) – Special hourly timetables on Services 18, 20, 21, 22, 23 plus 725; Night Bus 22/23 will not run in the evening
- Friday 2 January – Saturday Service plus Service 27 & special timetable on Service 38
- Saturday 3 January – Normal Saturday Service
Additional Information
- Service 21 will operate a Monday–Thursday timetable on 22, 23, 29 & 30 December.
- Night Bus 22/23 will not run on the evenings of 24, 25, 26 December or 1 January.
