One of Britain’s top orchestras returns to Portsmouth Guildhall this autumn and winter for another season of eight spectacular orchestral concerts – and adult tickets start from less than £7.

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra has a fantastic selection of symphonic favourites on offer including Mahler’s First Symphony ‘Titan’, Smetana’s Ma Vlast and Vaughan-Williams' London Symphony.

In addition, the Orchestra performs much-loved BSO Pops concerts including a Symphonic Space film night in November, which will feature the best galactic soundtracks from Star Wars and Star Trek to Interstellar and E.T.. Following on from this, the ever-popular Last Night of the Christmas Proms returns in December, offering the perfect musical Christmas Cracker to start off the festivities.

World-class artists performing with the Orchestra include Kirill Karabits (who will end his remarkable 15-year tenure as the BSO’s Chief Conductor in 2024), stunning violinist Alina Ibragimova, BSO favourite Jac van Steen, and many more.

The BSO is the largest cultural provider in the South West of England, and Portsmouth Guildhall has been one of its major concert hubs for many decades. The Orchestra also performs annual concert series in Poole, Exeter and Bristol and, new this season, at the Mayflower in Southampton.
