We're starting the weekend with a chilled one '“ reggae record label Tender Touch Records will be presenting their album launch for Buckey Ranks' I Got Caught at The Old Barn, Milton this evening.

Joining the headliner will be Emiliyah and The MightyZ All Stars, Original Rising Star Sound, Selector Bad Indian, MC Uncle Leroy and DJ Wayne Wobble. His first UK album launch party will be from 7.30pm until 1am with entry £5 and the first 50 people get a free copy of the album on CD! More details at bandstand listings for this weekend include Afro Latin Fiesta on Saturday and Seen on TV hosted by Nick Courtney. Afro Latin Fiesta will consist of a great selection of Latin DJs spinning nonstop Afro Latin hits while Seen on TV on Sunday will consist of live acoustic acts with female duo Sound of the Sirens and solo artists Marley Blandford and John Adams. Both days run from 1pm until 4pm and are free, as usual.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

Tomorrow evening on the deep/tech house front, Love Amplified will be back at The Old Barn presenting house legend Marshall Jefferson. Best known for his 1986 release Move Your Body, Marshall was one of the original house music pioneers and is still pushing the house scene. Joining Marshall in Room 1 will be Soul Divide, Civilisation of The Rough and Liz Cornick, Room 2 hosts Alex Fowlie, Fred Symonds, Wheats, Brandon Lilly, RaRa and Harley Vince while the garden will feature J.A.B and Latecomer. On Monday, be sure to keep it locked with Delight at The Astoria, Guildhall, with their ’80s-themed fancy dress party, Strangest Things (yes, it’s a nod to a certain TV show) with Delight’s resident DJs promising plenty of synth-pop and ‘80s anthems alongside cheap drinks and entry from 10pm until 2am More details at
