This weekend on the festival front, many will be attending the massive BoomTown Festival in Winchester (especially those who are very in to electronic music!) with its weird and wonderful diverse stages and performing artists.

Fear not if you’re staying in Portsmouth, though, as there is plenty to keep you busy.

Tonight on the drum and bass front, Rollin’ will be presenting their headline act for the evening, Lynx at The Old Barn, Milton. Lynx has been a DJ and producer on the scene for many years with releases on Hospital Records, Ram Records and his own imprint Detail Recordings.

Joining him will be DJs Ammy, J:Skeptic, Banksy, Catch, DJ Zork, RJM and Jakobi with MCs Freestyle and Joey Broncoe.

Doors open from 8pm until 1.30am with entry costing only £3.

20 Hertz resident DJs LA-TO and Refuzz will be going back to back in the mix throwing in everything from disco to drum and bass to house to get everyone up dancing! Doors will be open from 9pm until 1.30am with more details at facebook.comFor your weekly dose of cheese pop/indie anthems, It’s A Sin will be taking over The Wedgewood Rooms in Albert Road, which will be guaranteed get you up on your feet. As usual, you won’t spend a penny for entry with It’s A Sin, so be sure to get your money’s worth with doors being open from 10.30pm until 2.30am.

The Edge of The Wedge will also be hosted by Pete Scathe for plenty of alternative bangers.

More details at facebook.comIf you’re feeling up for an all-day event tomorrow, be sure to attend the house music-flavoured Southsea Shindig Garden Party at The Royal Albert, Albert Road, which will be free all day from 12.30pm until 7pm.

With promises of free barbecue food and an after-party with Zeal at the Surrey Arms after 7pm, be sure to keep it locked for the tasty line-up!
