Last weekend saw local talent provide some fantastic live music at the Isle of Wight festival '“ including DJs from Beats and Swing and Liz Cornick who warmed up for Pendulum at The Big Top tent '“ a mean feat for any DJ!

Kicking things of this week, DJs Flatline, LA-TO and Drift aka 20 Hertz Events will be starting their brand new free residency slot at The Surrey Arms in the city centre tonight from 8pm until 1am. Their aim is provide DJ sets full of electronic music anthems with guest DJs Paint and Refuzz joining the bill too.

Tonight will also see underground drum and bass/jungle record label Ransaked Records return at The Old Barn in Milton.

This free event runs from 8pm until 1.30am and looks to showcase Ransaked’s forward-thinking drum and bass productions with DJs Kowr, Foreman, Havok, Bio-kem and Nooch on the line-up, accompanied by MC ODOB. Check out Ransaked at facebook.comTomorrow evening will also see Love Amplified return with The Love Boat: An ’80s themed fancy dress boat party and after party at Envy.

The bill looks to provide serious deep/tech house music business with DJs Alexis Raphael, Lee Walker, Kydus and Soul Divide on the boat, with Wheats, Fred Symonds, Latecomer and As One at the after party. The boat leaves from Gunwharf Quays at 7pm and the after party in Envy ends at 4am. Tickets cost £17 for the boat party, £10 for the after party or £25 for both when bought together from fatsoma.comSaturday will also see old-school house promoters House Knights takeover the Cueball Club in Fratton with a promise of blending their usual old-school house anthems with deep house and techno DJs sets, with DJs Bexy, Ha Rice, Replay and Ammy.
