REVIEW: Kojak's Revenge, Grosvenor Casino, Gunwharf Quays

IT'S a sell-out, yet Gunwharf's Grosvenor Casino is calling time on the Showbar, another case of small venues not collecting enough ticket sales to justify their worth.

Being able to witness talented musicians up close and personal is a real treat and with bands such as Kojak’s Revenge it is easy to see why.

The local lads spring straight into action with the Kaiser Chiefs’ I Predict a Riot, The Undertones’ Teenage Kicks and Madness’ My Girl.

With The Jam’s Town Called Malice, suddenly the dancefloor becomes a hive of activity which continues with Primal Scream’s Movin on Up and Blur’s Country House.

The well-deserved encore that we all scream for delivers The Killers’ All These Things I’ve Done.

It won’t be the last time I see these lads, but it will be the last time I see them here.

My money is on this venue being terribly missed.
