‘I was genuinely surprised when they called my name,’ says Hetty. ‘I was not prepared – but it feels great.

‘And to all of those teachers that told me I would never achieve anything – now here I am owning a bit of glass with The Guide Awards on it, so in your face, Mr Jones!’

Hetty co-runs the Boutique Comedy Club with Joe and fellow nominee Sunjai Arif, which has its next show at The Wave Maiden in Southsea on February 13.

She is also planning to head to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer, where she will be performing as part of a compilation show with some friends.

Aside from that, she’s aiming to step up her ‘digital content’ online: ‘Every every weekend when I'm not doing my nine-to-five job, I'm making a prat of myself at home to a camera.’
