The Spring welcomes theatre show Shooting with Light
In 1933 a young Jewish German refugee fled to Paris where she became immersed in the world of photography and embarked on a tumultuous relationship with legendary war photographer Robert Capa.
These passions led her to capture the horror of the Spanish Civil War where she became the first female photojournalist to die shooting from the front line.

Hide AdSeventy years later, in Mexico City, a suitcase is discovered containing 4,500 of her lost negatives and unlocking the brilliance of Gerda Taro.
Now, acclaimed contemporary theatre makers Idle Motion use their unique storytelling talents to tell Gerda Taro’s story in full in their brand new show, Shooting With Light.
