Victorious festival organisers send out message to Portsmouth and Southsea - 'We Miss You'

Normally the large white Hollywood-esque letters on Southsea seafront are a clue to a headline act.

But this year they are a reminder that one of the city’s most loved events has – in common with almost every festival across the country – had to take an enforced year off in 2020.

The coronavirus pandemic put paid to Victorious, which should have taken place over the bank holiday weekend next week, in May.

Now the ‘We Miss You’ message has reminded everyone that the festival has pledged to return in 2021.

Among the bands due to play this year were The Streets, Manic Street Preachers and Royal Blood.
