THEATRE: Transport yourself back to 1941, in the midst of the Second World War, and into a strange meeting between two physicists. Chichester Festival Theatre, tonight, 7.45pm.

TALK: Michael Forrest, an expert in Victorian military history, will be discussing the Victorian defences of Portsmouth and the Portsdown forts. £5. Royal Armouries Museum, Fareham, tonight, 7.30pm.
