It would normally be at this time of the year when tens of thousands of runners would descend on the city to take part in the Great South Run.
The event, which marked its 30th year in 2019, usually takes place across Portsmouth in October.
However due to the ongoing pandemic it is among the hundreds of events that have been cancelled this year.
So if you usually take part in the run and are feeling wistful about missing out this year – or if you were planning on taking part for the first time and wondered what it would look like to do the Great South Run, we decided to dive into our archives to show you.
Here is our mega gallery from the Great South Run in 2019 featuring 129 photos from the event.
Take a look through to see what taking part in the run looks like.
