Less than a week after the stunt which earned him selfies with some of football's biggest names, Niall Moran's antics have now seen him share beer and banter with the Swedish producer Basshunter.

The film industries and creative writing student was one of hundreds who flocked to the singer's concert at Pryzm in Portsmouth city centre on Thursday.

But the 20-year-old could not believe his luck after craftily forging his way on stage '“ before making a friend of the Swede, whose real name is Jonas Altberg, later that night.

'˜I had to tell all of the security I was part of his label so I could get close enough to tell him my story,' Niall said.

'˜He found it hilarious '“ he brought me on stage with him and I had an awesome time.'

While Niall dubbed his infiltration of The Best Fifa Awards a week ago '˜one of the best nights of my life', he said brushing shoulders with the hit-maker was particularly poignant.

'˜Everyone loves footballers, but for me, this one was special,' he said.

'˜The first album I ever bought was (Basshunter's) Now You're Gone album.'

He added: '˜After meeting my footballing idols I have become dedicated to meet even more of my childhood heroes '“ even if that means I have to tell a few lies to get there.'

Captured in video footage shot on Niall's phone in the early hours of Friday morning, following his show, a boozy Basshunter said: '˜I tried to get (Niall) to drink Jagerbombs but he didn't want to.'

The producer, known for hits such as All I Ever Wanted and Angel in the Night, goes on to describe the student as '˜a good boy' '“ before attempting to persuade him to paint the town red.

'˜He tried to get me to go but I told him I had lectures the next day to get out of it,' Niall said.

After telling The News his story last week, Arsenal fan Niall, who is from Cornwall but chose to study at the University of Portsmouth because he has family in the city, said life has been a '˜whirlwind'.

He has been on local radio, in a host of national newspapers, was interviewed for the French magazine So Foot and is even set to appear on the Channel 4's The Real Football Fan Show next week.

Niall said: '˜It has been utterly surreal. I've even had people stopping me in the street asking if I was the guy from the Fifa awards story. A few celebrities have messaged me too.'

He added: '˜I was actually told I could leave a lecture the other day because I would be 'too much of a distraction'. That's probably a bit silly for a group of grown adults.'

As previously reported, Niall managed to sneak on to the green carpet at last week's The Best awards after waiting in the toilet for security to disappear.

In doing so, the youngster managed to meet stars including Didier Drogba, Arsene Wenger, Raphael Varane, Sol Campbell, David Seaman and Arsenal manager Unai Emery.Â
