Kicking things off this weekend, Pie and Vinyl team up with Strong Island Recordings to present ESYA of Savages. Supporting her will be alternative acts Hyperstition Duo, ex-members of Blood Sport, and MOHIT. Tickets £5 and doors open from 8pm-11pm.

But the big event this weekend is Portsmouth Pride 2019 which will take place at Castle Field, Southsea, from 11am-7pm. The parade will take place at 9.30am, starting at Coffee Cup, Eastney, and ending at Castle Field. The line-up for the two stages features Big Brovaz and Booty Luv, Charlie Hides, Danii Dior, DJ Mike Jackson, BellaBlack, Cherry Liquor and many more. 

An event for drum and bass fans is the annual Banksy and Dunn Garden Party at The Fort Cumberland Arms, Southsea. Banksy and Dunn will celebrate resident DJ Blakey’s 30th birthday and resident Dancing Pete’s 40th birthday. From 12pm until 1am, the line-up features  DJs Hannibal, Banksy, Blakey, Limey and more.

On Tuesday, the Emporium Bar in Elm Grove will host live music and an open mic event as a farewell to their   bar manager TJ.  No pre-bookings required but   just turn up and book at slot on the evening. There will be an electric drum kit,  bass  guitars an d microphones available .
