Some – like me – might be gutted having to choose between the likes of Rudimental and Bloc Party on the Saturday but it looks like being another fantastic year of live music for Portsmouth! Grab the details at victoriousfestival.co.uk.

The weekend starts off tonight with the return of Underground South Movement at Acapulco on Albert Road. It’s only £2 on the door, from 7pm until 1am, and there’s plenty of hefty drum and bass vibes from DJs Kenzie, Liam Harris, JAK and TT, plus special guests.

The infamous party-starters Team Crunk will host a pop-up shop, giveaways and extreme party games from 10pm until 2am. Delight is the longest running alternative event in Portsmouth for a reason!

DJs Will ChuMp, Daddy Alex, Sam Hatty, Joskii and Alex D will play plenty of rock, pop punk and metal bangers. Entry is £4 with more details at facebook.com.

On Tuesday, Wave Rider Promotions present Slackrr at Edge of The Wedge in Albert Road. Slackrr are Southampton-based pop punkers who played at the Isle of Wight Festival and just dropped a new album. Support comes from The Disposal Kind, The Stayawakes and energetic skatepunk/ska outfit Why Pinto. More details at facebook.com.
