Fareham Shopping Centre to host free Island Adventure family event on September 5
Families can enjoy a free tropical-themed event
Fareham Shopping Centre will be transformed into tropical paradise on Saturday September 5 for its Island Adventure family event.
Between 11am and 3pm, families can enjoy the free event on Delme Square, which will be packed with interactive activities, live entertainment and the chance to meet a very special guest, the Island Wayfinder Princess, who will be performing live at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
There will also be a Wayfinders Trail around the centre, as six retailers in the shopping centre will be hiding a themed item in their window.
Once children have found all six hidden items, they can complete their entry form and post it into the competition box for a chance to win a summer hamper.
Younger visitors will also have the opportunity to create their own ocean-themed keepsake to take home.
“We are delighted to bring another exciting family event to Fareham Shopping Centre,” said Centre Manager Mike Taylor. “This island adventure promises a fun-filled day of creativity, exploration and entertainment for visitors of all ages. We’re looking forward to welcoming families to Delme Square for a memorable end-of-summer celebration.”
Councillor Frair Burgess, Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, said: “Fareham Shopping Centre is such a great place for families throughout the summer months as there are always so many activities on offer and lots to see and do. This free island adventure-themed event is the perfect way to round off the summer’s fun.”
The event is free to attend, and no booking is required.
