The countdown to Christmas is on with less than a month to go - and the city has a full programme of events.

Nothing screams Christmas like cosy markets, ice rinks and festive light switch on events - and Portsmouth has all of them.

Some of this weekend’s highlights include:

  • Love Southsea’s Christmas market making its return to the Historic Dockyard - November 29 and 30
  • Gosport’s full day event with over 70 stalls, live music and the Christmas light switch on - November 29
  • Whiteley’s Christmas music event featuring performances from choirs and bands - November 30
