Alan Mak MP Off The Fence column: Come to my 11th annual Jobs, Apprenticeships and Careers Fair
It's my 11th annual Jobs, Apprenticeships and Careers Fair at the Leigh Park Community Centre this Friday, 23 October - and I'd love to see you there!

Engaging with local residents is a top priority of mine and the Jobs Fair is one of several community Fairs I hold each year, along with the Community & Volunteering Fair, and the Health and Sports Fair.
The Jobs Fair enables a variety of local and national employers to showcase what roles they can offer and gives jobseekers the chance to find out more about options in person.
Visitors can ask about vacancies, career paths and training, plus get information about higher education.
I'm proud to say that a number of previous exhibitors have gone on to recruit as a direct result of meeting jobseekers at the Jobs Fair.
Mark Wilson and Becky Griffiths both secured roles with homecare specialist Right at Home after finding out about the company and meeting owner Duncan Cameron.
They began working for Right at Home in 2017 and have been there ever since, securing promotions along the way.
It's fantastic to know they were taken on by Right at Home as a direct result of visiting my Jobs Fair and that they've subsequently progressed within the company.
I've organised the Jobs Fair every year since I was first elected to represent the Havant Constituency in 2015, and I'll continue to support local people making important decisions on their future, whether that be an entry into the world of work, a change of career or gaining more qualifications.
Please come to the Fair any time between 10am and noon. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring family members, neighbours, colleagues and friends.
Would you like to go on a tour of Parliament and meet me for a private Q&A session afterwards? Please register your interest at www.AlanMak.org.uk/Tours
