BTG Eddisons expands South Coast property management operation with senior hire

BTG Eddisons is stepping up its residential property management operation on the south coast with the appointment of experienced property manager Michelle Hodgson as property management director.

Based at the firm’s Fareham office, Hodgson will oversee existing clients within the firm’s residential block management portfolio and play a key role in developing the business, particularly across larger and more complex schemes.

She joins from residential managing agent Rendall & Rittner, where she held regional responsibility for the South, leading a substantial team and overseeing an extensive and diverse portfolio, from smaller blocks to large-scale and high-rise developments.

Andrew Glover, head of property management at BTG Eddisons, said: “Michelle brings a really strong combination of experience, knowledge and contacts from across the residential property management sector.

“She has the experience to take on larger and more complicated instructions, which is a key growth area for us, while bringing a fresh perspective to the team on the South Coast.”

Glover said the property management market was becoming increasingly demanding, with greater regulatory requirements and rising expectations from clients.

“Property management is always price-driven, but the expectations on managing agents are increasing at the same time,” he said. “There is more regulation and scrutiny, so clients need a service that is cost-effective but also properly resourced.

“That makes having the right people and the right level of expertise increasingly important.”

Hodgson’s appointment forms part of a wider investment in BTG Eddisons’ property management team as the business continues to strengthen its offering across the UK.

Glover added: “We’re continuing to invest in people with the experience to deliver a high level of service and handle the increasingly complex demands of the market.

“Michelle is an important addition to the team and will bring valuable experience to both our South Coast operation and the wider property management business.”
