Care home hosts Denmead WI Belles for special session supporting neonatal families
Bere Grove Care Home has hosted the Denmead WI Belles for special session supporting neonatal families

During the session, the group created a collection of small beautifully handmade bags designed for families with babies receiving neonatal care. These thoughtful keepsakes will be used to hold precious items that their baby first came into contact with, offering comfort and a meaningful way for families to treasure those earliest memories and support them on the first steps of their journey.
The afternoon brought together creativity, community spirit and compassion, with the WI members spending the afternoon sewing in Bere Grove’s welcoming surroundings. During the session, the WI enjoyed cake and refreshments giving everyone the chance to relax and socialise.

Graham Allen, General Manager at Bere Grove Care Home, said: “We were so delighted to support the WI with such a worthwhile cause. It was wonderful to see the group come together to create something so thoughtful and meaningful for local families. They enjoyed cake and drinks in the Bere Grove bar, and we look forward to welcoming them back again soon.”
