Nesbits has reported the most results of its auction this week,

The property firm and auction house said: "We were off to a racing start with the first lot we offered at our sale on Tuesday, June 23. The flat in Nelson Road attracted a lot of interest prior to the auction, being a one-bedroom top-floor flat in need of complete renovation.  As you can see from the photos the previous occupant had a very artistic flair.

"There were two bidders initially in the room that took the bidding from £75,000, which was the reserve, upwards. 

"The bidding had got up to £102,500 when another bidder stepped in at the last minute, and bought the property for £103,000.  The total number of bids were 33.  It’s been a while since we have seen such competitive bidding and you could feel the tension in the saleroom from all the bidders.
