Headteacher Vicki Dillon-Thiselton said: “For three years in a row now, our student outcomes and exam results have continued to rise, alongside high standards in student attendance and behaviour. Every student sitting here tonight has shown that success comes through daily commitment, resilience and hard work.”

The evening recognised students across all age groups for their attitude to learning, academic achievement and progress. Ronnie Burch received the Outstanding Achievement Award for achieving the highest GCSE grades across all subjects in the summer, while Fletcher Wright received the Ridge Award for Outstanding Progress.

Miss Dillon-Thiselton thanked staff, parents and carers for their support. The evening was sponsored by the Ridge Foundation, founded by Darren Ridge, co-founder of business technology company Onecom, who is a former pupil at the school. His daughter, Victoria Ridge, presented the Key Stage 4 awards.
