Looking Good Robin Hood! From Years 3 and 4 at Portsmouth High School, GDST

Last week, Years 3 and 4 at Portsmouth High School delighted their audience with a fantastic performance of Looking Good Robin Hood! Based on the well-known legend, the girls brought to life the story of Robin Hood returning from the Crusades. On arriving in Nottingham, Robin discovered that the evil Sheriff had taken control, ruling with an iron fist and leaving the people of Nottingham struggling under his harsh policies. In need of a hero to inspire them and lead the fight against the Sheriff, the townspeople turned to Robin and his band of Merry Men.

Congratulations to all the girls in Years 3 and 4, who rose magnificently to the challenge of learning and performing a production featuring ten fantastic songs and even choreographed sword-fighting scenes. Well done to everyone involved for such an entertaining and memorable performance.

Raphaella, who played Robin Hood, said: ‘I loved playing Robin because I got to use a dagger and a bow to stop the Sheriff and Guy of Gisborne taking taxes from the poor people of Nottingham. Singing a solo was a little scary but fun.'
