Music event to raise prostate cancer awareness
Prostate cancer is currently affecting one in eight men in the UK, most prevalent for those over age 50. If you are black, or if your dad or brother have had it, you are at even higher risk. The earlier you find prostate cancer, the easier it is to treat; however, most men with early prostate cancer do not have symptoms.

On 11 September, at The Lens, Portsmouth Guildhall, the country’s foremost tribute band (Maximum Who) for The Who, who will be headlining, supported by local artists LouLu V, The Prostate Gland Band (set up to raise awareness about prostate cancer two years ago) and Fine Voice Chorus.

This event has been produced and presented by a collaboration between Fine Voice Chorus, Curtain Call Productions and The Flash radio station
The fundraiser is for Prostate Cancer UK; any funds raised will enable them to be there for even more men, and their friends and families; the event will help to raise awareness, fund ground-breaking research and vital support services for the fathers, brothers, sons and mates navigating prostate cancer.

Come along to enjoy some excellent music, get some excellent information and leaflets; it is fact that men are more likely to take action about their health if they receive information from people they know and trust.
