Portsmouth family-run charity uniting local supporters to fund Food, Water, Shelter, Education and Planting Tree's projects in UK and Bangladesh
MAKE Charity Hosts Annual Community Lunch, welcomed Lord & Lady Mayoress of Portsmouth at Island City Cafe, North End, Portsmouth on 16 August 2026.

The small family‑run organisation founded 13 years ago in honour of the late Muhammad Abdul Kaeum, held its annual charity lunch at The Island City Café, bringing together family, friends, and distinguished guests including the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Portsmouth.
The event celebrated the charity’s ongoing mission to support people in need in UK and Bangladesh, providing Food, Water, Shelter, Education, and leading international Tree‑Planting initiatives.

Today’s gathering raised £390, all of which will go directly towards MAKE Charity’s humanitarian projects. As a family‑funded organisation, members contribute small amounts each month to ensure the charity can continue delivering vital support throughout the year.
MAKE Charity confirmed that, as of today, the organisation holds £787.60 in its dedicated charity account — funds that will be used to assist vulnerable communities.
A spokesperson for the family expressed gratitude to everyone who attended: “We are honoured to continue our father’s legacy. Today’s support shows that Portsmouth stands with us in helping those who need it most.”
The charity plans to continue its annual events and expand its outreach locally in the coming year.
