Waste management solution is rolled out across the UK, allowing companies to go completely digital

An electrical recycling firm has built an innovative solution that will help waste management companies with their switch to digital. 

WEEE Manager is a digital application that allows companies to do everything they need to digitally – from waste notes, to invoicing and everything in between. 

What started out as a solution that was meant just for Southern Electrical Recycling’s in-house team has grown into a business in its own right – a complete solution for waste management firms across the UK. 

Managing Directors David Edwards and Gary Dalton were on the hunt for a company to help provide them with a paperless solution to help them comply with new Digital Waste Tracking regulations.

After receiving several quotes for thousands of pounds for solutions that weren’t quite the right fit, they decided to take matters into their own hands and enlisted the help of award-winning web designer Chad Donoghue, who built them a fully functioning paperless platform from scratch. 

Realising how invaluable the app had been to their own operations for the past 18 months, the pair have decided to offer it out to others. 

Not only does the WEEE Manager allow companies to track their waste notes, it also offers a huge range of other digital tools, including invoicing, GPS tracking for their drivers, digital signatures, job scheduling, fleet management and more. 

Gary Dalton said: “We knew the impact that the app was already having on us as a team so it just made sense to allow other companies to get the same benefits. We’ve saved thousands of pounds from no longer having to pay for everything separately, not to mention the time saved, which has allowed us to spend more time on the things that bring revenue to the company.” 

WEEE Manager can be adopted by waste management companies from just £120 and can be used on Android and iPhone. 

David Edwards said: “It’s not just about getting compliant anymore for us, it’s about running our business better. This app has allowed us to grow as a business and a team and we just want to do the same for others.”
