The incident on Friday evening led to a road closure. No injuries were reported. AA Traffic News reported: "Road closed and slow traffic due to horse truck fire on B2146 Eastbound from Downs Road to Southbrook Road. Traffic is passing on the opposite side."
Now the owner of the horse truck has confirmed now horses were on the truck at the time. "It was my lorry, thankfully no horses on board," Addie Carter-Was Linfield posted on social media with a picture of the truck.
People responding in the thread said it must have been "scary" and a "shock", adding: "Thankfully you're ok."
