This weekend (June 29th and 30th) people are invited to visit a free pop up museum known as the 'Museum of Us' at The Makers’ House, 94 Arundel Drive, Fareham PO16 7NU, from 10:00 – 16:00 each day.

The Museum of Us has been created by volunteers from the Uplands History Group, a friendly group of locals who came together accidentally and who now meet regularly, always welcoming new people to share memories, discoveries or just to make friends.

The Museum of Us will have displays and artifacts looking at the area from the fields and farms, the war years to post pandemic. There will be free craft activities and a free walking trail with quiz – suitable for all ages.

The event will be officially opened on Saturday at 10:00 by local legend, Bob the postie who has been delivering mail to the Uplands area of Fareham for over 20 years.

Challenge your expectations of what you thought was just a 1960s housing estate.

Charlie Stevenson, Uplands History Group
