Bagged salad manufacturer Natures Way Foods creates 100 jobs with expansion in Selsey


Natures Way Foods, which makes bagged salad, has extended its Selsey site – creating 100 new roles.
The latest investment sees an increase of 2,500 sq metres, bringing the total to 12,400 sq metres, making it the largest bagged salad site in the UK.

Hide AdGary Kilhams, general manager at the Selsey site, said: ‘I’m proud to lead this exceptional site as experts in babyleaf production. The demand for babyleaf products, spinach, watercress and the like, is on the rise and we will deliver the best quality and service to our customers.’
Natures Way Foods, which opened in 1995, has spent a year building the addition to the existing factory and putting in bespoke solutions for washing, preparing and bagging babyleaf products.
It has also upgraded its IT infrastructure and put in roof-mounted air conditioning units to provide stable temperature and humidity .
Nathan Bennett, engineering projects manager, said: ‘It’s been remarkable to deliver such a large-scale, complex project in the middle of a pandemic. Seeing the design and innovation come to life and working with the best teams in the industry will enable NWF to achieve its growth plans and makes me feel proud to work here.’
