Hydro-Lek was bought by Saab Seaeye in 2013 and has moved its operations and staff to Brunel Way, Segensworth, from Finchampstead, becoming a business line on January 1.

The combined companies will operate under the Saab Seaeye name, although the Hydro-Lek brand will remain and customers can still reach Hydro-Lek staff.

Hydro-Lek operations manager, Colin Barton, said: ‘We’d like to reassure our valued customers that our services will not be adversely affected by the move – on the contrary, by tapping into Saab Seaeye’s technical and operational expertise, Hydro-Lek’s products and services will be further enhanced.’

Saab Seaeye’s managing director, Jon Robertson, said there was ‘a strong technology synergy’ between the two companies.

Saab Seaeye manufactures electric ROVs for a range of industries, and includes Saab’s underwater vehicle range of tethered, autonomous and hybrid underwater vehicle systems for the defence industry.
