Cost of living crisis: Iceland selling 1p frozen ready meals, what are they and how to claim them?

People can buy up to three frozen ready meals from Iceland this week for 1p. Charities have welcomed the intervention and have challenged the government to provide more targeted support to the most vulnerable.

Richard Walker, managing director at Iceland, said: ‘Our customers told us that they really benefitted from our online 1p deal when we ran it with fresh veg, so we’re really pleased to offer it now on frozen ready meals.

‘With research showing that people are giving up hot dinners due to cost-of-living concerns, offering frozen ready meals for 1p means shoppers can add them to their shop and freeze meals until they are needed.’

How to claim the meals?

Shoppers can access the offer online on the Iceland website. They can put up to three frozen ready meals in their online basket.

The discount is available until November 4 on all orders of £25 and over. Normally, the meals cost £1, but this is reduced to 1p by using the discount code READY1P at checkout.

What meals are included?

Some of the frozen dinners in the offer include lasagne, bangers and mash. cottage pie, chicken stew and dumplings, toad in the hole and minced beef hotpot.
