Hardware shop in Wickham shuts down after more than 100 years in business

RG Warwick Trading Ltd, in Station Road, Wickham, closed earlier this month.

The business, which sold agricultural, DIY, camping and hardware supplies, in the Meon Valley market town had been going since 1884.

A post on its website said: ‘We apologise but we are now closed permanently. We thank you all for your support over the years.’

The business also sold a range of gardening supplies, building materials and fittings, Calor gas plus coal and smokeless fuel from its yard.

On its Facebook page, a post said: ‘The closure of the yard is literally an end of an era and the family and staff would like to thank everyone who supported RG Warwick over the many years of its service.’
