TEA rooms in a Meon Valley market town have closed their doors for the last time.

The Bay Tree Tea Rooms, situated inside Bay Tree Walk, in The Square, Wickham, closed due to coronavirus restrictions in March.

It did not reopen when restrictions were relaxed and has now confirmed that it will not be returning.

A spokesman for the landlord said the unit, which is now vacant, had received lots of interest.

He said: ‘We currently have builders in and we have some exciting plans for it.’

Bay Tree Walk, which houses several small businesses, opened in 1987.
