Crown Bingo in Gosport announces closure after 52 years

BINGO lovers will be in despair when a well-loved hall echoing with the sounds of ‘two fat ladies – 88’ shuts its doors.

Crown Bingo in Forton Road, Gosport, posted on Facebook to confirm its closure on Sunday, May 3 .

It said: ‘It is with great sadness that we must announce that we have made the difficult decision to close our Crown Bingo Gosport club.’

‘We would like to say a huge thank you for the continued support from our loyal members and to our excellent team of staff.’

This year is its 52nd year of operation.

Another post said: ‘Happy anniversary to our wonderful club who we all are going to miss greatly.

‘It's so sad that this time next year we will be history. So let’s go out in style and make the time left memorable.’

Other halls are in Bognor Regis, Cosham and Leigh Park.
