A leisure centre has confirmed the dates it will close its gym to undergo an exciting transformation
The gym at Horizon Leisure on Waterberry Drive will be closing on Thursday, August 6 with the facilities given a modern overhaul and reopening on Friday, August 28.
The closure will allow a full redesign of the space including new flooring, lighting, sound and overall look and feel. This will include brand new cardio equipment being installed on the mid floor, a full strength upgrade on the bottom floor, and a refreshed free weights area with new racks and layout.
There will also be a new 10 metre sprint track on the top floor along with self-powered cardio and functional equipment, a dedicated glute training zone.
Horizon gym posted on social media: “Wednesday, August 5 until 10pm is your last day to train in the current gym. We're then closing the gym floor from Thursday, August 6 while we refurbish it, reopening on Friday, August 28 at 6am with new equipment and a completely refreshed space.
“Swim, classes and the rest of the centre carry on as normal throughout. If you want to keep training in the meantime, you're welcome to use the gym at Horizon Havant. We know a break from your usual gym isn't ideal, but we can't wait to show you what's coming... bring on August.”
