Major high street brand H&M to reopen in city with 'enhanced interior design' following lengthy closure for refit
After four months of being closed for a refit, a popular high street brand has confirmed it will welcome customers through its doors once again.
Four months on, and the two-storey shop is now getting ready to reopen on Thursday, November 20 at 10am - just in time for the festive period.

Equipped with self-service checkouts and click and collect lockers, the 2,290sqm store has been designed to provide a fresh and revitalised look, making the shopping experience ‘seamless’.
“This addition allows us to broaden our range with stylish homeware alongside our fashion collections, creating a convenient destination for everything in one place.
“With enhanced interior design and improved omni-channel services, the store offers an inspiring and seamless shopping experience, inviting customers to discover and enjoy our latest fashion and home offerings.”
To celebrate the opening, there will be a gift with purchase for the first 100 H&M members on the opening day.
Cllr Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council welcomed the news of the store’s reopening.
He said: “We’re pleased to see H&M investing in its future on Commercial Road. This major refurbishment is great news for the city centre and will benefit national chains, independent shops and market traders alike.
“In the new year, we’ll continue driving forward our plans for City Centre North, bringing much-needed homes, jobs and new leisure facilities to the area.”
