In Pictures: Significant progress made at brand new Costa drive-thru at The Pompey Centre retail park

The structure, located at The Pompey Centre retail park, is starting to take shape as work continues at the new coffee shop. The Costa drive-thru will be positioned opposite the McDonald’s and it will join the list of popular shops at the retail park including KFC and Subway. Previous plans submitted to the Portsmouth City Council outlined that the new venue will see the installation of a number of illuminated and non-illuminated signs to include fascias, roof sign, pole sign, monument signs and banner frame.

Costa’s initial proposal was that the coffee venue would be open between 5am and 11pm seven days a week creating the equivalent of 15 full-time jobs. The chain already has a number of sites across the Portsmouth area including one in Commercial Road, one in Isambard Brunel Road and one in Albert Road. The opening date of the Costa in The Pompey Centre is currently unknown but The News will keep you up to date.
