The deal, which will see Top-Let adopt the LetCo name and its red and green branding, creates a company that now manages almost 700 properties across the south.
LetCo has an online service as well as four offices in Portsmouth, Park Gate, Whiteley and Southampton. It will also be recruiting eight property professionals to work in Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth.
The acquisition significantly extends LetCo’s portfolio, which includes family homes and character properties in established residential neighbourhoods, along with prestigious houses and apartments in some of the region’s the most exciting developments such as Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays.
LetCo, founded in 2006, has experienced substantial growth over recent years and is on track to achieve turnover in excess of £1m for the year 2015/2016.
LetCo operations director Rob Leatherland said: ‘LetCo’s success is built on local knowledge, an understanding of what tenants are looking for, strong relationships with landlords and developers and outstanding customer service. Online offers 24/7 convenience, while getting together face-to-face is sometimes the very best way to do business.
‘Top-Let’s ethos and values reflect those of LetCo completely – so LetCo’s acquisition of Top-Let makes perfect sense. It reinforces our position as one of the leading property management specialists in the Solent area.’
Joining the LetCo team from Top-Let is Simon Hill, who takes up a new role as LetCo’s commercial director.
He said he believes the lettings marketplace has never been more exciting.
‘I don’t think there’s ever been a greater focus on the need for quality property as there is today,’ he said.
‘LetCo understands this – its portfolio of properties proves that beyond any doubt.’
