Toddlers from Tops Day Nursery in Wimborne recently visited the residents at Hyacinth House Care Home.

The children travelled the short distance to the care home on the bus which was of course, all part of the adventure. They arrived loaded down with plants and bouquets of flowers as gifts for the residents along with handmade cards.

They had been working on these on the run up to the visit and were very proud of their work. The residents and toddlers played games together in one of the home’s lounges and enjoyed snacks and drinks too.

Hyacinth House General Manager Kamila Gagala commented: "We seek opportunities for continued community involvement for our residents and were delighted to host the delightful children from our local nursery.

"The children bought joy and excitement along with them and really brightened up our day. We all know the benefits of intergenerational interaction and it was clear to see from all the smiles that both groups got enormous pleasure from the morning’s visit. Our residents are still talking about it!"
