For many people over 50, aches, stiffness, and limited movement are things they quietly accept as part of getting older. But one local coach is challenging that mindset—and helping people take back control of their bodies, one mobility drill at a time.

Myself, better known as Sean the Mobility Coach runs classes and online programmes specifically designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and rebuild confidence for adults over 50. Based at the John Pounds Centre in Portsmouth, I have become a go-to figure for those who want to move better without high-impact workouts or intimidating routines.

I see it all the time—people believe they’re ‘too old to get strong again or that pain is just something they have to live with. But the body is resilient. With the right movements, even five minutes a day can make a real difference.

My approach blends simple, low-impact mobility exercises with functional strength work, all tailored to suit the needs of aging bodies. And the results speak for themselves.

One of my clients couldn’t climb stairs without pain when she started, Now she’s not only pain-free—she’s more active than she’s been in years.

My passion stems from a desire to shift the conversation around aging and fitness. “Mobility is the foundation of everything. If you can move well, you can live well. You can prevent falls, stay independent, reduce joint pain, and actually enjoy your day-to-day life again.
