Bike Smart road safety competition

PRIMARY school children in Portsmouth are taking part in a competition to design road safety banners.

The competition is open to four to eleven year olds and is part of this year's Road Safety Week Bike Smart campaign.

The theme for designs is how people can stay safe on the roads when using their bikes.

Supporting the competition is Horndean based uniform specialists, Recognition Express

Director, Bev Dinenage, said: '˜We've been running this competition for 10 years because road safety is such an important issue. Most children have a bike and will be able to identify with the campaign.'
