£6.5m care home opened

A NEW £6.5m care home has opened its doors in Portsmouth.

The 60-bed Hartford Court in Milton offers care for older people, including residential and dementia care.

Sean Gavin, CEO of Hartford Care which runs the home, said: ‘Our mission is to provide a caring, comfortable and happy environment where our residents can enjoy life to the full.’

TV personality Fred Dinenage, who attended the opening, said: ‘They have reinvented the way I see care homes.

‘I think it’s magnificent. I will be a regular visitor.’
