Six patients who had been diagnosed with the disease have died in the UK, as of 2pm on Tuesday March 10.

In Hampshire there are 13 cases of coronavirus – although none have been reported in Portsmouth.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19, the outbreak’s official name, spiked this week – and included a number in the south of the country.

How many cases of coronavirus have been confirmed?

The UK's total number of cases to 456 as of March 11.

Around the globe more than 100,000 people have now been confirmed to have coronavirus.

Where in England have there been confirmed cases?

Out of the confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK, there have been 104 in London and 60 in the south east.

27,476 people have been tested in total with 27,020 testing negative for Covid-19.

Has anyone died from coronavirus in the UK?

So far six people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 have died in the UK.

A British citizen who was on the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan has also died from the disease as has a British citizen in Indonesia.

Have there been any cases in Portsmouth?

While coronavirus has reached Hampshire, there has not been any confirmed cases in Portsmouth as of yet.

If you suspect that you might have the disease or someone in your family may have contracted it then you are advised to self-isolate.
