Defibrillator installed outside Waterlooville church

LIVES could be saved following the installation of a new defibrillator in Waterlooville.

The device is on the side of St George’s Church, St George’s Walk.

Defibrillators can be used by anyone to help treat an individual suffering from a cardiac arrest.

By dialing 999 the emergency services provide a code to access the equipment as well as telling the caller how to use it.

Chris Gadd, head of press at St George’s Church said: ‘This project was possible because of the recommendation made by Cllr Ann Briggs, and the grant from Hampshire County Council.’
